What Is PLR Content For Blogging?
The first time you use a planner or piece of content created by someone else, it might feel weird- almost like you’re plagiarizing them in some way. But there are tons of benefits to using PLR content to fill out your blog posts. Let’s explore PLR content a little further and what it could mean for you and your blog.
What Is PLR?
PLR stands for Private Label Rights. These rights legally allow you to edit, change and use content in any way that you want. You can edit it, add to it or even sell it as your own without ever needing to credit the original author or website!

Why Use PLR?
There are tons of benefits that come along with using a PLR pack, planner, or post.
First off, they are usually high-quality articles- they’ve already gone through the editing process and taken out all of the errors. So you don’t have to worry about combing through an article looking for spelling mistakes!
Secondly, you don’t have to worry about writer’s block! Since PLR is pre-written, you don’t have to worry about the words not flowing from your head onto the page, you can just think of what you want to say and write it out.
The final benefit is simply time-saver. Since a PLR post is usually more than two paragraphs long, you can look through a PLR article a lot faster than if you were to start from scratch.
No need to create content from scratch. It will give you a perfect base for your article, and all you have to do is fill it out with your own thoughts. Save time and money.

What Sites Should You Avoid?
There are tons of sites that offer PLR content wrong.
There might be an article that you like, but if it doesn’t come with a full license which you purchase or has the wrong license (only allowing you to use it for personal use, not commercial) then stay away from them!
Also, stay away from free PLr or content that doesn’t have a license. You never know where they may have come from and how legitimate they may be.

How Can You Make Sure Your PLR is Good?
Not all PLR content is good. To make sure that the content you’re going to use for your blog posts lives up to your standards, keep a couple of things in mind:
Is this article over 500 words long? If not, then it might end up being a major part of your blog post, and if it doesn’t have much content, it will seem out of place.
Is the article easy to read? Is it boring or does it make you want to skim through after the first couple sentences? If so, then that means that someone else probably thought this way about it- and if they were thinking that way, you probably will too!
Does it have any spelling mistakes? A lot of PLR articles are written by non-native speakers. This means that they might not be able to write in perfect English. If there are some words misspelled or phrased poorly, find another article.
Is the article different from your blog? You want to make sure the topic will work for your niche yet isn’t too similar to what you already have written. Make sure it’s a good fit. Also, you don’t want to have the same content on your site as another blog. If you do, then one of you is going to lose readers.
There are some things you can do to enhance your article and make it even better when using PLR content.
- Add in your own touch- add in some of your thoughts and opinions, but don’t go overboard with the amount you add.
- Make sure to edit and publish even if the PLR is perfect, there might be some mistakes that you can easily fix yourself
- Put your own spin on the content- while still making sure to keep the spirit of the article, you should try to make it sound like your own (don’t copy word for word!)
- Don’t forget to add in affiliate links whe you can.
